Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Mirrion Finance ("Service"), operated by Mirrion AI ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Mirrion Finance is a personal finance analytics and narrative tool. It connects to your bank accounts (via Plaid, read-only), analyses your transaction history, and provides reports, AI chat, and identity insights. It is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Not Financial Advice

Mirrion Finance is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

3. Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
You must not share your account or allow others to access your account.
You must provide accurate information when you register.

4. Bank Connection

Connecting a bank account authorises us to retrieve your transaction data via Plaid in a read-only capacity. We do not initiate transactions, move money, or store your bank login credentials. You can disconnect your bank at any time from Account Settings.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Mirrion Finance offers a free tier and paid Mirrion Pro subscriptions (monthly, quarterly, or annual).
Subscriptions are billed in advance. All payments are processed by Stripe.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds for partial periods.
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
Circumvent rate limits or Free-tier restrictions through automation.
Submit content or queries designed to manipulate the AI (prompt injection).

7. AI-Generated Content

The AI chat feature uses large language models to analyse your data. AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. You should verify any financial figures against your own records. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI output.

8. Data and Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service you agree to that policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding your personal financial data) are owned by Mirrion AI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your financial data remains yours.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings or by emailing support@mirrion.finance. Deletion triggers the data purge described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of third-party data (including Plaid), or that the Service will meet your specific requirements.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mirrion AI's liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you by email or in-app notice for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
